When it comes to finding love, will Sam discover that Mother Knows Best?
Years ago, exasperated by his overbearing mother’s attempts to find him a man, filmmaker Sam Goldstein made her a promise that if he wasn’t married by thirty-five, that she could control his dating life.
Now, on the eve of his thirty-fifth birthday, heartbroken after the breakup of his relationship with buttoned-up lawyer Paul, Sam Goldstein realizes that his life in New York City is not exactly what he thought it would be… and worse still, that his mother is arriving to make good on the promise she made him all those years ago.
Sam decides to agree to his mother’s plan – on one condition. If by the end of the year his mother has not found a suitable partner for him, his mother must agree to stay out of Sam’s romantic life for good and accept whomever Sam decides he wants to be with.
But as she sets Sam up on a series of dates, with men that range from the sublime to the ridiculous, can his mother keep her promise to stay out of Sam’s dating life … or will he discover that when it comes to finding love, mother really does know best?
